The sub-station will give Paithan an important place on the country’s map, Pawar said. “It will prove crucial in meeting power requirements of around 1,500 MW of industries in Shendra and Bidkin, including the Delhi Mumbai Industrial Corridor DMIC project,” Pawar said.He said regular and uninterrupted electricity was being supplied in more than 80% of industrial and residential structures in the state.The high power sub-station project, estimated to cost around Rs 606 crore, is estimated to meet the industrial and domestic needs of the Marathwada region, anticipating high energy requirement after the DMIC comes up.
