There are many to get involved with the work of NAPM and we are always looking for new people to join us. NAPM has volunteers all over India working with different movements, interns in the offices and volunteers working remotely all around the world. If you are interested in getting involved with our work, please have a look around the website to see what area you’d like to get involved in, get in touch with us and we’ll sort something out.
Internships with NAPM can last any time from 1 month – 1 year. These can take place in the Delhi, Mumbai or Bangalore offices. There is no limit to the ways in which you can contribute to our work. You may be interested in daily logistics and documentation, writing a blog, developing podcasts for the website, contributing to the production process of Movement of India (NAPM’s magazine), conducting research, designing t-shirts, banners, posters, pamphlets or advocating for various issues in public forums such as colleges.
In different countries throughout the world, volunteers who want to get involved also volunteer from home. Work that you could help out with from afar includes updating the website, contributing to the design of the website, writing and editing articles, reports or press releases, designing leaflets and anything else that might interest you.
What’s in it for you?
While this is a voluntary role, it will be an incredible way to enrich your world view by understanding different issues, developing skills on campaigning and political work, gaining experience on organising and mobilising people and exploring the potential of your own skills in this work.
Other ways to get involved include staying informed on the issues, attending upcoming events or becoming a member. Please see these pages to find out more.
An important way of becoming involved in NAPM is by first learning more about the work that we do. You could subscribe to our magazine, Movement of India, which gives a voice to the struggles and hopes of millions of underprivileged and marginalised people and sets forth an alternative model of development that is pro-people, pro-environment and participatory.
